Our Purpose
We still wake up as eager as we did on day one to have the best online booking system available. We want to take the work out of managing the complexities and administration of service-based bookings and allow owners to focus on their customers and what they love.
Our Story
Checkfront was initially conceived by co-founders Jason Morehouse and Grant Jurgeneit to help frustrated service operators better manage their bookings online.
While large companies had (arguably antiquated) systems for centralizing reservations and taking payments, many tourism and rental companies were still struggling to manage bookings with e-mail forms, spreadsheets, and clunky software – hardly an ideal solution for a business owner looking to create a seamless and professional online experience.
That’s why we scrutinize every aspect of our service. Our booking management software must be easy to use, beautifully designed, highly secure, perform flawlessly, and priced fairly.

Since launching in June 2010, Checkfront has grown from a humble operation into a dedicated workforce spread across Canada. Our product team is based in the beautiful capital city, Victoria, British Columbia.
Globally Known
We’ve processed over 5.1 billion USD in bookings annually, made by businesses in 128 countries around the world. From Alaska to New Zealand, we facilitate hundreds of thousands of bookings monthly.

Checkfront Partners with Google to Bring Tours and Activities To ‘Reserve with Google’
We are so excited to announce that Reserve with Google is now available for Checkfront users! By setting up a Google listing, your Checkfront inventory will become bookable with Google products — allowing you to drive more bookings by reaching users in the searching phase.
Checkfront is One of the First to Join New Stripe Partner Program
Most people today don’t know that only three percent of GDP is online. That’s why we’re excited to join the Stripe Partner Program to increase internet commerce and help companies start, run, and scale their businesses.
By joining the program, our mutual customers will now benefit from the combination of Checkfront’s online booking system with Stripe’s seamless payments platform.

The award marks Checkfront’s second consecutive win, after taking home Product of the Year in 2016. We’ve undergone some very exciting changes in the past year that have led us to this point.
We’ve grown from 26 employees in January 2016, to 51 as of June 2017 bumping us into the 50+ category. As a result, we outgrew our old office and moved into a brand new 3500 square foot space.
Checkfront Adds Built-In Digital Waivers
Unifying waivers and bookings, Checkfront added built-in Digital Waivers for any Plus and Enterprise client to expedite the check-in process.

Checkfront surpasses $1 Billion in booking, over 100% growth year over year.
Checkfront Accepted into Google Cloud Accelerator
Google has generously contributed $100,000 to help grow our infrastructure so that we can continue to scale our real-time online booking system. Additionally, Google is working directly with our team for technical training, architecture overviews and mentorship.
Checkfront Raises $1M in Funding
Checkfront raises $1m in its first round of funding and will use funds to accelerate growth, pursue strategic partnerships, and grow the team.
Checkfront Merchants exceed $375 million in online booking volume
Checkfront merchants have processed more than $375 million (USD) in online bookings to date. Over the past 12 months, we saw an impressive 140% growth in bookings.
Checkfront Reaches $100 Million in Bookings
Checkfront surpasses $100 million in bookings, business has more than doubled each year since it launched three years ago.
